Yesterday Apple put out it’s 10.4.8 update for it’s increasingly popular OS X operating system. Some useful information can be found at the Infinite Loop blog on Ars. The Apple link to the knowledge base artcle for the update can be found here.

I should also point out that on Intel based systems they will reboot twice. I did this update before the developers note came out and I nearly wet myself when I did the update on my girlfriends MacBook. After the first reboot which took ages, it rebooted again, luckily though all was well and normal service was resumed quickly.
