If I knew they were out of beta, I’d have baked a cake.
But seriously, what’s the actual difference? They just take the beta tag off and thats it?

I think thats all it is really, but it does sybolise how much the product has matured over the years. There’s a link to the blog of the creator of Google News. He seems very pleased with it’s beta graduation.

The thing that makes me laugh is that googles beta products are some of (if not the) best available! Take gmail (or googlemail for us UK lot!) for example, it’s hands down the best web mail you can get! Talking of which i received my “Windows Live Mail” beta invitation today, oooh what a surprise it strikes a uncanny resemblance to the aforementioned google product!
If anyone wants a beta invite for the new Windows Live stuff let me know, there running the same invite procedure as gmail.

Yeah I would like an invitation for it. Send me one to the usual address mate. I’m always interested in trying new things out. I’ll probably get a post on here about it too. Give it a mini review sort of thing. Is it IE only though? I signed up for the Windows One Care Live Beta and it was IE only which restricts me when I use a Mac, or have they been sensible and allowed all browsers and platform combinations?
